Anchovies or Anchovy Paste – excellent for adding quick flavour to sauces or pasta
Arrowroot or Cornstarch – thickening agent
Breadcrumbs – easy to make your own using day old bread. Whiz in the food processor and store in the freezer until needed.
Jams – choose unsweetened varieties
Ketchup – ketchups are very high sugar. Consider a homemade version.
Mayonnaise – choose the olive oil variety
Miso – excellent to add with added salt and good in salad dressings. Keeps for a long time in the fridge.
Mustard – try a dijon variety, plain or grainy.
Pepper – buy whole and grind in a pepper grinder as needed.
